A sweet and tangy addition to any holiday meal
Ingredients
1 1/2 Cups sugar
2 tbsp grated fresh ginger
1/2 Cup corn syrup
1/4 Cup margarine
2 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp salt
4 Cups carrots (sliced on an angle)
Preparation
Preheat oven to 375° F.
Combine sugar, ginger, syrup, margarine, juice and salt in a pot.
Boil for 5 minutes over medium heat.
Place carrots in a baking dish and mix in sauce.
Bake uncovered for 40 minutes.
Serves 8.
