Simple sausage rolls that taste like home.
Ingredients
1x Pie Crust recipe
4 vegan Bratwurst sausages (or other sausage)
1 tbsp Dijon mustard (approximately)
Preparation
Make the Pie Crust recipe, but roll into 2 strips, 7" wide.
Cut the strips of dough into 16 pieces (8 per strip), so that each piece is 2" wide by 7" long.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
Cut the sausage into quarters lengthwise, to make 4 long strips for each sausage.
For each piece of dough, lightly spread a bit of mustard on top, place one strip of sausage on top, and roll it up in the dough, lightly pressing the seams and ends closed using a few drops of water.
Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper, and arrange the sausage rolls on top.
Bake for about 18 minutes, until pastry is lightly browned.
Serve with soup or salad.
Makes 16 rolls.
