Tangy, sweet, and full of cinnamon. Great with vegan turkey and stuffing.
Ingredients
350 g Fresh cranberries
2 tsps Orange zest
1 Stick fresh cinnamon
2/3 cup Orange juice
2/3 cup packed light brown sugar
2/3 cup water
Preparation
Place the cranberries, grated orange rind, cinnamon, orange juice, brown sugar, and water in a saucepan.
Bring mixture to a boil over high heat, then immediately turn heat down and simmer for about one hour, or until the sauce has thickened substantially (this cannot be overcooked, so wait until a good thick consistency is achieved.
Taste for sweetness and adjust with additional sugar if necessary.
Let mixture cool a bit then refrigerate in a covered container.
